Pearland Senior Photographer | JROTC Senior Session at Hermann Park & Rice Village
There are some senior sessions that stay with you long after they’re over—and this was absolutely one of them.
I recently had the opportunity to photograph a Pearland high school senior who is not only preparing for graduation, but already has an incredible future mapped out ahead of her. She’s been actively involved in her school’s JROTC program, participates in theater, and plans to attend Texas A&M University before pursuing her goal of becoming an officer in the Navy.
Sessions like this are such a reminder that senior portraits are about so much more than photos—they’re about capturing this once-in-a-lifetime season right before everything changes.
We began her session at Hermann Park, which truly delivered some of the most beautiful spring backdrops. The flowering azaleas were in full bloom, adding soft pops of color throughout her gallery, and the towering oak trees created the perfect natural setting for timeless portraits.
This location is always a favorite for senior sessions because it offers so much variety in one place—from lush greenery to more open, light-filled spaces that are perfect for cap and gown photos.
We captured a mix of classic senior portraits along with relaxed, personality-filled moments that really reflected who she is during this exciting chapter.
Classic & Meaningful Portraits in Rice Village
After Hermann Park, we headed over to Rice Village to finish out her session with a completely different look and feel.
The iconic red sidewalks and shaded oak-lined streets created the perfect backdrop for her more formal portraits—including her JROTC uniform. These images felt especially meaningful, representing the dedication, discipline, and future she’s working toward.
We also incorporated her cap and gown and Letterman jacket, giving her a full gallery that tells the complete story of her high school experience—from where she’s been to where she’s headed next.
A Senior Session Full of Purpose
One of my favorite parts of this session was getting to spend time with her and her mom. There’s something so special about these moments—parents watching their child step into the next phase of life, and seniors standing right on the edge of everything ahead.
Her goals, her involvement in JROTC and theater, and her plans for Texas A&M and the Navy made this session feel incredibly purposeful. Every outfit and every location added another layer to her story.
Planning Your Own Senior Session
If you’re a parent of a high school senior (or a senior yourself), this is the perfect time to start thinking about portraits. The best sessions are the ones that reflect your story—your activities, your goals, and your personality.
From natural locations like Hermann Park to more polished, urban spots like Rice Village, we can create a session that feels completely unique to you.
Senior year goes by quickly—but your photos are what you’ll hold onto for years to come.
